The Elling Woman
The Elling woman is one of the many interesting mummified bog bodies found in the Denmark Peat Bogs. Bog Bodies are people of the Iron Age whose bodies were placed in and preserved in the peat bogs of Europe. These bodies are a natural phenomenon, as they have been preserved for thousands of years, even before the birth of Christ. These bodies offer great insight and are fabulous sources of information of the time and culture of the Iron Age, the Elling woman being a perfect example of this.
